Tiffany & Co. to Design Glamorous Handbags

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Tiffany & Co HandbagHandbags is a forever great topic for women. No matter how many bags we have, we can just never stop searching for a nicer one (or simply a different one). And jewelry is another favorite of all women, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry appeals to us greatly, literally every women love them. So, how glamorous it will be if combine the two favorites together! The news today is that it seems Tiffany & Co. wants to have a try to design handbag line.

When Tiffany acquired the bankrupt Lambertson Truex, we did not envision that these lovely bags would be the end result. Sure Lambertson had a decade-long history of luxury bags, but could they transition the high-end jewelry retailer into this market?

The union may have been questionable at first, but the pairing has brought about beautiful bags with an ‘it’ bag factor. These handbags come in various styles, shapes and sizes, but the above is our favorite. Sure they’re stylish and sleek, but never under-estimate the Tiffany blue element. Say hello to the Lyn clutch, this may be our first meeting, but the odds are good that we will be seeing them about town soon.

Shinning, glamorous and elegant, all you would ask for a clutch, the Tiffany & Co. new handbag line is totally awesome, love the stunning clutches!

Tiffany’s All Sparkling with Its New Collection

Monday, July 19th, 2010

TiffanyOh, Tiffany, all women love it, even Audrey Hepburn loves gorgeous shinning Tiffany too. Tiffany jewelries are usually over priced for me though, I totally love them still, and weired the price still looks  fair in my mind! So you can see how much I love Tiffany, who cares if we can’t afford it or not, let’s just check out Tiffany’s new collection, totally sparkly.

In need of a $7 million necklace? I can steer you in the right direction. Tiffany & Co. unveiled its new 2010 collections and I got to wander around a twinkling forest of gems.

The aforementioned necklace has a 20-carat internally flawless diamond surrounded by a lot more diamonds. It was lovely, but probably better suited to a Middle Eastern prince a la the imaginations of the SATC 2 creators. It would really bring me unwanted attention on the subway.

On the other hand, I saw a gorgeous bracelet encrusted with 3,300 different sized round diamonds. It would absolutely transform that bland army jacket into something quite spectacular. And it’s a steal at $175,000.

All kidding aside, the collection was gorgeous. Tiffany does a great job creating jewelry that appeals to lots of different tastes. They do classic-yet-modern so well. Tiffany dipped into their archives and created some gem and enamel pieces that were so pretty and whimsical.

Enamel also showed up on a gold segmented bracelet tastefully accented with diamonds. Yellow diamonds were big, too. And speaking of big, I think yellow diamonds look better when they’re bigger. A $675,000 legacy-cut ring mesmerized me for a good ten minutes or so. Tiffany’s signature designers all showed new pieces as well. Paloma Picasso did a Marrakesh-inspired bracelet of enameled interlocking rings. Frank Gehry did three dimensional piles of leaves, and Elsa Peretti did adorable starfish pendants.

A trip to Tiffany is like going to a gorgeous museum. Even if you can barely afford the ubiquitous ID bracelet, it’s worth a trip to this magical fairyland. Well, hope you enjoy the beauty as much as I do.

Tiffany or Marc Jacobs, Which one would you go with?

Key chain Tiffany VS MarcFashion is an attitude, and the little things are usually the most suggestive and significant, thus you can see now, fashion’s everywhere, every little tiny corner in the world! Seriously, I love these little fashion gadgets!

The key chain on the left is Tiffany & Co. and the one on the right is Marc by Marc Jacobs. And as you all can see from the picture here, the similarity between the two designs is uncanny, to say the least!

The most obvious difference is the medium—Tiffany’s is made with sterling silver, while Marc’s is silver-plated brass. The Tiffany piece looks polished and sleek, while Marc’s has a faux-antique charm. Another big difference which really matters to our wallets, is the price tag: Tiffany’s cost $140; Marc’s cost $8.

Both key chains are cute, but then again copyright means a lot to me, however I found people really love Marc, I mean if it were Steve Madden or Forever21, I bet there will definitely be more boos out there, but in this case, they buy it while saying this really worth the $8! Well, personally I love the Tiffany one much better, looks a lot more shinning and exquisite! Yes, I hear you, “what do you expect for $8?!” Nevertheless, I will stick to the Tiffany one, seriously, we need the originality!
